ALMYVITA RESTAURANT

The proposal involves renovating the ground floor of an existing two-story building in the Venetian harbor of Chania to house the new luxury restaurant, Almyvita. The restaurant is divided into two sections: the main dining area in the northern part and the service areas at the rear. The dining area features a vaulted ceiling that runs the entire length of the building, with preserved windows offering sea views. The materials chosen for the design are primarily marble and wood, creating a cohesive aesthetic from the ceiling and walls to the flooring and furniture.

The restaurant is divided into two sections: the main dining area in the northern part and the service areas at the rear. The dining area features a vaulted ceiling that runs the entire length of the building, with preserved windows offering sea views. The materials chosen for the design are primarily marble and wood, creating a cohesive aesthetic from the ceiling and walls to the flooring and furniture.

The restaurant’s main bar is centrally located between the two sections of the building. It is fully equipped for preparing coffee, drinks, and sushi. The bar features a marble counter, a wooden wine rack behind it, and a wood facade with a copper finish, all designed in matching tones. An opening between the bar and the kitchen allows customers to catch a glimpse of the food preparation area. Select areas include colorful accents (cladding, decorations) to create contrast and focal points, while maintaining harmony with the overall design. At the rear, there is a reception area for the rental apartments on the first floor, accessible both from the restaurant and the back street.
