CHORA JEWELRY & MYTHOS ART GALLERY

The architectural study concerns the renovation of two existing spaces and their conversion into a jewellery shop and a space for the exhibition and sale of works of art respectively. The design extends to the interior remodeling and decoration of the premises, as well as to the detailed design of the equipment for the product exhibition. The main goal is to create a unique customer experience, a sense of wandering in a space that encourages creativity of all kinds.

The study was called upon to address the issue of the relatively limited area of the store and therefore emphasis was placed on organizing the required functions in such a way as to save the maximum possible usable space The first step in the effective design was to predict the flow of visitors, in order to ensure the effective siting of the products. We placed in the center of the space a table to enhance the sense of intimacy that acts simultaneously as a service point and on the perimeter of the various types of exhibition showcases to ensure the visibility of the jewellery.

Overall, the design philosophy of both spaces focuses on creating a quiet color palette, while giving a majestic atmosphere to the space. The space inside and outside is in shades of white and black, while wooden surfaces, gold metallic details and raw marble provide luxury in these spaces. The floor consists of a black stilt and in combination with the white walls create a neutral background for the promotion of jewellery and works of art.

The design approaches the interior as a sculptural entity, with curved geometries that define the forms and functions of the store. Hospitable shapes and flowing curves are used on shelves and benches, in mirrors, in the wall cladding and on the facades of the shops ensuring a sense of movement and rhythm.
