The complex, has been studied on a plot of a total area of 130 acres, which is located in an off-plan area, of georgioupolis, of the Municipality of Apokoron, Prefecture of Chania. It is a plot of rectangular floor plan, with an elevation difference of about 4m. from the north to the south end.

One of the main objectives of the architectural study was the design of a hotel unit that will manage to ensure conditions of a comfortable and luxurious stay in an environment protected from external nuisances.

The composition was based on the drawing of two linear intelligent axes. The first is parallel to the axis of the highway and along it the basic communal functions of the unit are developed, thus achieving protection from noise and ensuring the necessary privacy. The second conceivable axis is vertical to the first and divides the plot into two sections: in the eastern part where two-storey building blocks are located, and in the west, where luxurious ground-floor suites are located.

In addition, this axis aims to determine the basic movement paths within the complex and to connect the two main functional "ends" of the unit: the entrance (north end / Reception) and the point of well-being and relaxation (south end / Spa).

At the same time, in the center of the plot is created an introverted core in which the central swimming pool is located, in direct connection with the other communal functions of the unit (pool bar, restaurants, lobby, etc.) and a second large swimming pool which abuts the buildings of residence. This direct proximity of the rooms to the water is intended to improve the quality of living.

In addition, this axis aims to determine the basic movement paths within the complex and to connect the two main functional "ends" of the unit: the entrance (north end / Reception) and the point of well-being and relaxation (south end / Spa).

At the same time, in the center of the plot is created an introverted core in which the central swimming pool is located, in direct connection with the other communal functions of the unit (pool bar, restaurants, lobby, etc.) and a second large swimming pool which abuts the buildings of residence. This direct proximity of the rooms to the water is intended to improve the quality of living.

As far as construction is concerned, the architectural study was oriented towards the selection of local materials with references to Cretan architecture. The use of natural materials of stone and wood dominates, both on the sides of the building volumes and inside the rooms, as well as in the surrounding area of the unit. Particular emphasis was placed on the creation of a beneficial environmental footprint using low plants and trees of Cretan land and the creation of planted rooms.

The study of interiors was based on the idea of creating a warm environment for visitors. Furniture is most designed by the study team. Luxury decorating lights and objects were chosen to be placed in public and private areas of the hotel.

The complex includes outdoor swimming pools of 7,400 m2, 2 indoor pools with an area of 1,130 m2. , 6 restaurants area 4,100sq.m, 5 Bar 1,590sq.m, 1 Spa 2,170sq.m, 1 Aqua Park 1,100sq.m. and 5 conference rooms 1,200sq.m. Additional facilities such as children's play area, sports courts, shops, outdoor theatre, helipad and the necessary parking spaces, complete a hotel unit of high standards.
