VILLA IN KASTELI

On a plot of two acres located outside the settlement of Kounoupitsa in Kasteli Kissomos, two houses were designed to serve summer holidays of visitors. The plot, surrounded by olive groves, has a gentle slope and excellent views of the bay city of Kasteli.

The aim of the architectural study was the design of two independent houses, one of which could accommodate a visitor with special mobility skills. The main house, 165sq.m. is located in the center of the plot, with a northeast orientation.

It includes an open plan kitchen-dining-living area, three bedrooms with private bathrooms and an attic. The second house, which has an area of 30sq.m, is on the same level as the main house and includes a bedroom, a bathroom with disabled specifications and a kitchenette. In contact with this residence is the 90 m2 swimming pool which includes an outdoor seating area and a children's pool.

The decoration of the houses moves in earthy tones, in order to create an environment warm and hospitable for visitors, but without missing the modern elements. Wood dominates, while fabrics and concrete furniture were chosen in beige shades. In all bedrooms, the furniture is entirely designed, while special geometric constructions complement the decorative style of each space.
